I too saw the second Today Show interview with the murdered victim's husband. Seldom have I seen a face that reflected such torment and hatred. I actually felt pity for the man. He continues to be miserable without forgiveness. I was stirred by David's reflection on the Universalist faith that love will eventually prevail. I recently disagreed strongly with statements made from our local church pulpit regarding the justification for bombing Iraq and did so publicly in response. Was also troubled by a similar statement made by the Pres of the UUA. David's statements seem to also apply to the killing of innocent civilians in our attempt as a nation to eliminate a tyrant for whom we no longer have any use.
